Comfortable clothes, suitable shoes, and always bring a hand towel for cleanliness! The towel is used by you to wipe off your sweat and to protect your head on equipment. Was my upfront membership on holding during the Covid lockdown?
Yes, your membership was placed on hold for the Covid lockdown duration. What this means is that you were given an equivilant amount of "extra" time equal to the amount of time we were temporarily closed due to Covid-19 Alerts up until the 14th of May 2020. So don't worry, you didn't lose out, your expiry date has simply been extended out by an equivilant amount of time.
What measures has Be Active taken regarding Covid-19
Be Active has always had strict hygiene standards. Members are always required to bring clean towels to protect themselves AND to always clean equipment with the provided spray bottles and paper towels every time they change equipment.
Members are not permitted in the gym if they are feeling unwell.
Be Active has hand sanitiser machines in various places at the gym. Members are required to clean their hands before and after workouts or classes.
Be Active has spaced out machine equipment so members can keep a safe distance from one another. Be Active does not have carpet in workout areas, only hard surfaces that are easily cleaned.
In addition to the above, Be Active staff continually clean equipment and surfaces throughout the day. Every night after 10:30pm close, the gym undergoes a deep clean by professional cleaners to ensure it is ready for the 4:30am start.
