BE ACTIVE CLASSES
Be Active's classes and bootcamps are generally undertaken in the form of Tabata/H.I.I.T, a high-intensity strength and cardiovascular training class that maximises results in the time available. Our classes are designed to get you fit as quick as possible and our instructors are experienced at helping all fitness levels from beginners to advanced.
A single Tabata routine may burn up to a whopping 13.5 calories per minute and may double metabolic rate for 30 minutes afterwards (study details).
H.I.I.T TABATA GROUP FITNESS CLASSES:

beStrong H.I.I.T Class
Burn Raiting: Very High (but suitable for beginners)
Class Length: 29-34 mins
BeStrong is our specialised muscle-focused High Intensity Interval Training Class. This small group fitness class challenges all your major muscle groups using a wide variety of low weight equipment, By using high reps and short sharp breaks, your body will build strong lean muscle and improve muscular endurance.

Burn Rating: Moderate (suitable for beginners or people getting back into exercise)
Class Length: 26-30 mins
This is our HIIT class focusing on strengthening and toning your abs and obliques. Integrating a mixture of light weights and mat work. This class is fun and great for burning your excess fat and toning your mid sections. Click here for more details

Burn Rating: Medium (very suitable for beginners)
Class Length: 26-30 mins
A gym circuit style workout using the principles of Tabata/HIIT. This workout is a full body workout that gets your heart racing and heart pumping! Click here for more details

A Tabata workout designed to lift the glutes, tighten the thighs and tone the calves. This class uses resistance bands, steps, low weights and functional movements to keep it fresh and fun. Click here for more details

Class Length: 30 minutes
Functional coaching is a fun group fitness session that is based on movements used in everyday life. You will get fit from exercise based games and unique equipment, bootcamp style fitness, and different mixes of circuit, agility, speed and strength training.

Tabata classes utilise a variety of exercises in Tabata intervals to increase your aerobic capacity, anaerobic capacity and resting metabolic rate.
In simple terms, you will burn a ton of calories, get stronger, leaner and overall healthier.
The interval outline is always a ratio of 20 seconds of work to 10 seconds of rest, repeated four or eight times. The four-minute sets are followed by a 30 seconds of rest, so that you will be ready to work hard again!

Our Tabata workouts include a warm-up, five or six tabata cycles and a cool down. Our classes last between 29 and 34 minutes.
